Perking Up a Primary Bathroom with Some Modern Functionality

Redesigning One of the Most Important Rooms

For this week’s continuation of the comprehensive home remodel we’ve been working on, we’re highlighting one of the most used rooms in the house—the primary bathroom. We specifically want to highlight its seamless integration into the reworked floor plan designed by the Gaines Group Architects. The aim was to create a luxurious, functional, and modern room to retreat to that enhances the client’s home experience.

Adding Features to Turn Boring Into Brilliant

The key features include heated tile floors, a heated towel rack for added comfort and convenience, and cabinetry above the toilet to maximize storage while maintaining a sleek appearance. The shower, a highlight of the bathroom, boasts a curbless design for a seamless transition, large fluted, wood-look tiles extending onto the floor for a cohesive look, and dual shower heads because once you use two, you’ll never go back to one.

The metallic, slate-look tiles on the main bathroom floor enhance that modern feel the client requested. We also added a wall-mounted vanity with a wood finish that complements the shower tiles, keeping the design streamlined and contemporary. Delta fixtures in brushed nickel were selected for their reliability and aesthetic to enhance the overall design theme.

Going According to Plan

This primary suite bathroom is another link in the chain we’ve been redesigning in this whole-home remodel that exemplifies the benefit of collaborative design and quality craftsmanship. From heated floors and a towel rack to a meticulously designed shower and modern vanity, every element was chosen to create a luxurious, functional, and cohesive bathroom that the clients can enjoy every day and night.

As previously mentioned, this remodel is part of a more significant transformation. Each room in the home has been thoughtfully redesigned to create a cohesive and stylish living environment. Check out the other parts of this whole-home renovation — the kid’s bathroom and the laundry room.
