Making a Dated Bathroom Look Brand-New

Coming Together Niche-ly

When it’s time to change a home’s appearance, we don’t always get excited about renovating the secondary bathroom; we get excited about the primary. But, in this particular circumstance, we are ecstatic to share the transformation of our client’s kids’ bathroom and the functional and aesthetic features we implemented to turn it into the masterpiece it is now.

This bathroom makeover is part of a much more extensive whole-home renovation and features brand-new elements throughout. One of the standout architectural features is the custom-built niches, an idea brought to life by the talented team at Gaines Group Architects. These niches provide practicality and visual interest, seamlessly integrating into the overall design and maximizing space efficiency.

Creating Some Character

We introduced a design element that adds visual interest and serves a practical purpose: 3D tiles. These tiles, extending from the shower area to behind the vanity, create a dynamic texture and depth. We also selected a vibrant vanity as a focal point to cater to our client’s love for color. Complementing this, modern vanity lights were installed to provide functional illumination and contemporary flair, enhancing the bathroom’s overall aesthetic and intriguing the viewer with our creative choices.

Keeping it Cohesive

We used Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring in this bathroom, ensuring a seamless and consistent look throughout the home. This flooring adds to the aesthetic appeal and offers durability and water resistance. We incorporated brushed nickel finishes on faucets and hardware, enhancing the modern aesthetic without overpowering other design elements. This combination has transformed this bathroom into a stylish and practical oasis, reflecting the client’s design preferences and our commitment to excellence in quality and functionality.
