A Bright and Bold Kitchen Update
Kitchen, Pantry and Crafting (Oh My!)
Lauren has been using the renovated kitchen in her Beaver Creek home for several months. Mint Construction checked in with her to see how she's settling into this farmhouse remodel.
"It was excellent to spend the holidays here. It's a big difference from what it was before." Lauren loves the large island which offers lots of prep space and an established place where her family can eat together. The pantry is now bright and functional, with cabinets and countertops that flow as a bright extension of the main kitchen area.
Adding the Details of Your Dreams
Kate at Mint enjoyed personalizing this beautiful kitchen. The client isn't afraid of color, so there are bold splashes of blue in the cabinets and tiles. Her extensive collection of cookbooks is on display in the open-faced bookcase. Lauren commissioned artist Brooke Lancaster to create a custom painting of her farm to use as added inspiration for the redesign.
When your kitchen makeover means taking everything down to the studs, you can add the details of your dreams. We installed a pull-out mixer stand to make Lauren's heaviest appliance more accessible. We added a hidden downdraft in the island to ventilate the cooktop. Kate encourages clients to ask for any unusual features they can imagine. "Some people hesitate because it'll be too much work, but when it's your home, the pain is worth it in the end.
Inspiring Interior Spaces
For this residential remodel, we converted some unused space into an office and crafting space. With bold, speckled wallpaper and a new desk and work table, the catch-all space inspires creativity on a daily basis. Lauren now has a place for her mail and for her dogs to gather before going outside.
We love being able to give people homes that reflect their personalities. Lauren "couldn't be happier" with the new spaces that we created.
