Bringing a New Beginning to a Bathroom

Part of any renovation includes knowing what to keep and what to update. In this project, we welcomed the challenge of refreshing a bathroom while simultaneously preserving the vintage tile work that gave the original bathroom its unique personality.

Prettier in Pink

As we stepped into our client's bathroom, we quickly identified several changes that needed to be done. The original floors had seen better days, and the shower was pleading for an upgrade. Rather than starting from scratch, however, we recognized the existing value in the original pink and gray patterned wall tile. This became the inspiration for our design choices throughout the rest of the project.

Tile-work That Speaks for Itself

Working with the existing tile as our inspiration, we carefully selected coordinating tile for the shower area. The flooring, rather than being replaced, was refinished to simultaneously preserve a vintage aesthetic and give new life. To bring the space into the present, our team introduced contemporary elements through new fixtures.

Balancing Everything Out with Brass

The choice of brass fixtures and a brass shower door became the final touch of warmth and sophistication within the space. These sleek elements contrast beautifully against the pink and gray tile work, demonstrating how thoughtful design can complement rather than overshadow original features.

Bringing the Best of Both Worlds

By carefully balancing preservation with updates, we created a bathroom that feels both fresh and timeless, proving that sometimes the best path forward is one that respectfully acknowledges the past.
